We are pleased to share that Team HERMIS has been selected as a finalist for the KUKA Innovation Award 2025. HERMIS, developed by EndoSurge, a spin off from the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, introduces a new concept in medical imaging: a robot guided, portable low field MRI scanner designed for versatile diagnostic use.
While conventional MRI systems provide excellent image quality, their high cost and infrastructure requirements limit accessibility, especially in smaller clinics and resource constrained regions.
