Soft Robot Mechanics Group

Welcome to the Soft Robot Mechanics Group! We are a group of researchers working on soft robotics, embodied physical intelligence, and mechanical metamaterials. Our research is interdisciplinary: integrating concepts from mechanical engineering, materials science, and robotics, and more.

We are part of the Institute of Applied Mechanics (MIB) at the University of Stuttgart, with affiliations to the International Max Planck Research School for Intelligent Systems (IMPRS-IS), Stuttgart Centre for Simulation Science (SC SimTech), the Center for Bionic Intelligence Tübingen Stuttgart (BITS), and the Robotics Institute Germany (RIG).
